Gee it’s been a while since we last blogged, and there is a few things that we need to post; a few sermons and videos, etc. But today I just wanted to say hi and let you know we’re still alive.
Over the last few weeks we have been flat out; we’ve had a sick daughter (with a cold, virus, and teething), sermons to do, a funeral to take, speaking engagements on radio and at other churches, meetings to attend, and also a few trips to Perth and Albany that just take a lot of energy. There has been nothing abnormal (except maybe the radio and funeral), we do this stuff all the time, but gee, these last weeks have just felt like we’ve been just run off our feet.
There has been some great highlights though. Sam and I managed to have two nights away last week in Albany and Denmark. In Denmark we stayed at a spa retreat and we both had a great massage at the day spa (so needed). Also we have had some great times with friends and team mates heading to Mozambique.
It is hard to believe that we are halfway through July, we only really have a month and a half to go here in Wagin, ARGH! So much to do. We are in the process of sorting out what we need to pack for Perth/Africa and then what we need to give away, sell, and put in storage. We also need to work out what we need to buy for Africa and also what we will be needing for the arrival of baby number two. Gee as I’m writing this my head has begun to spin rapidly, please stop it’s saying.
Also now as we come to the end of our time here in Wagin we need to begin to organise to visit Churches in Western Australia who will/are partnering with us and the team in Mozambique. It is crazy I tell you.
Every now and then I think WOW, what are we doing, having said that we are both saying to each other that won’t it be great to be settled in Africa, because since we’ve been married one and a half years is the longest we’ve stayed in the one place. At least once we get to Africa we should be in the one place for at least 3 years at a time.
So anyway, enjoy the pics below, and make sure you check back here on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays for all the blog posts you can handle. Blessings. Ben
